We couldn’t have asked for a more memorable experience. From our amazing travel agent to the friendliest staff at Sandals Ochi Resort, our wedding was nothing less than perfect. Yes, we had to wait 6-8 weeks to “make it legal” in the US because the paperwork had to go through the Jamaican government, however the experience of a destination wedding is definitely worth the wait.
Weeks before the big day, a wedding planner contacted us several times before our arrival to set up all of the arrangements and appointments. At the resort, we met with our wedding planner who reviewed all of the details with us. We were able to do cake tastings, pick our venue, have massages, and hair and makeup were included on the big day! There was no chaos. Everything was planned perfectly, and the staff is great at helping keep you on track. We did have to purchase our photography package separately, however, they have amazing photographers at the resorts who will take as many photos as you would like, wherever you would like on the resort.
They do not rush you and make sure you get the perfect shots. What’s even better is before you leave for home, they already have your photos loaded to a flash drive so there is no wait! If you’re looking for a romantic way to celebrate your marriage, a destination wedding is the perfect way. Even if things don’t go exactly as planned (although ours did), you’re in paradise, so who cares! It will be a memory that will last a lifetime.
Thanks Janet for all of your help! You’re the best!
